Smoky flavours and coffee is a pretty well-renowned combination, and the more commonly used spirit to meet this criteria would be Scotch. We found that the honey and vanilla notes in Del Miguey Vida Mezcal went superbly with the cinnamon in the Quick Brown Fox Coffee Liqueur in this Manhattan twist.
60ml - Del Maguey Vida Mezcal
20ml - Quick Brown Fox Coffee Liqueur
2 Dashes - Peychaud's Bitters
1 Dash - Orange Bitters
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice.
Garnish with a tidy orange twist on the rim.
This drink is named after the ocean that lies between the homes of its 2 main ingredients - The Mezcal from San Luis Del Rio, Mexico and Quick Brown Fox coming from Dunedin in New Zealand.
