Flips are a very traditional cocktail. The inclusion of a whole egg might put some people off, but those willing to give it a go will be rewarded with an amazingly sweet, boozy, rich mouthful. A meal of a drink.
This is a classic recipe, and drinking one may bring you old-timey vibes of being in a wooden saloon surrounded by questionable characters, but you can sub in any spirit, fortified wine, or syrup you fancy to modernise it your way.

60ml - VSOP Brandy
10ml - Demerara Syrup
1 Whole Egg
Dry shake all the ingredients to get that egg emulsified. Add ice and shake it up again.
Double strain in a chilled stemmed glass.
Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
